Announcement about the Texas BTIM Grant: Texas Staff Development Council will no longer be a provider for the Cycle 4 BTIM grant. Whether you used Ginger's resources and training previously through TSDC or not, you may still be able to do so. There is a place in the grant application to include any “research based” program/providers that meet program objectives if not using an approved provider. Please call if you have questions regarding this issue.

Dear Ginger,
I just wanted you to know that your training has inspired me back
into the classroom to work with those in the greatest need of love and a
coach who believes in them:) When I attended your training I was on a
career path leading to administration but being reminded of what teaching
is and what a genuinely caring and supportive teacher can do I had a
change of heart and have returned to my first love....kids and literacy.
I can't wait to present your materials to the new elementary teachers
in our district...I have no doubt that I'll be able to pass on the
inspiration you so thoughtfully provided for us. I've chosen to go with a
restaraunt theme as a way to display the FYTA menu for the year as well
provide each day's agenda as "Today's Specials." I have created one
large "menu" with each of the FYTA categories and "the price" we pay as
teachers for each and at the bottom is says..."the difference you make in
a child's life...PRICELESS." The tables will be adorned with
tablecloths, a flower....etc...to add an atmosphere of warmth and welcome.
I just wanted you to know that you made a difference in my life and in many others:)
